New Month. New Start

I've been very bummed and very discouraged the last few days since all my pictures disappeared. No sewing but plenty o' shopping. Went about $30 over budget; shoes are more expensive.

I've done my best to recover as many blog posts as I could but many were lost. Sad day.

On a better note, tomorrow begins a new month and Shana from ColorBlind has come up with a fun challenge: New Day, New Shoes
I don't know any girl who doesn't have enough shoes to switch out daily for a month. Like our closets, we forget what lives within those shoes boxes or no longer recognize some pairs what with all that accumulated dust on 'em. So, I am getting back into the groove with this challenge and it should be fun.

If you want to join, feel free to do so! It'll help you sort out through the pairs you longer want or those you forget you loved.

To kick this off, I'll show you a pair that I recently thrifted and some-what-refashioned.

They're F21 and were brand new- for $6.
Personally, I don't like pointy-toe mary-janes... They do look cute, but not my style.
So here's what I did..
What an improvement, no?

These babies will make their debut in October.

  3. What a great improvement! I just got my hair done this weekend and my amazing stylist was wearing a cute cropped jean jacket that was gorgeous. Come to find out she found it thrifting in the little boys section and cut the sleeves of herself.....brilliant. I want to be more crafty!
